These valuable features are made possible by our blank-sheet technical stack, which leverages AI & ML fed by a real-time stream of data from the core business transaction account. No legacy systems, no antiquated technology - just a fresh new approach.

The role:

We need a super talented, metrics driven and customer focused Senior Product Manager to lead the delivery of our product vision. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of product development from research, through to ideation, and then execution. We’re looking for someone with a huge vision and ambition to match. Someone who can tackle any problem with gusto and clear method. Whilst your core focus will be product, you must have a curious streak and maintain a thirst for getting involved in all aspects of our business - we’re all in this together and as a leader of the company you will need to get your hands dirty and lead by example.

The CPO’s responsibilities include:

  • Define, set and own the product roadmap for Thriday
  • Be responsible for a squad containing engineers, testers, designers and data scientists
  • Oversee the creation of our quarterly, yearly and long-term product plans aligned to our company goals
  • Review available data, feedback and market research to proactively prioritise the roadmap
  • Gather and communicate inspiration to assist the product and design team in brainstorming solutions
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when finalising and reviewing product acceptance criteria
  • Work on multiple projects and feature simultaneously and be able to prioritise time accordingly
  • Coordinate across teams including technology, data science and marketing to align our roadmap
  • Closely monitor the product including evaluating and actioning insights and customer feedback
  • Own our industry and non-industry competitor review process as an input into our product view
  • Run ideation workshops, focus groups and drive an innovation culture that delivers fresh ideas
  • Manage our agile product development and design process ensuring adherence across the team
  • Peer review stories, acceptance criteria, designs, A/B tests and post launch performance checks  
  • Work closely with design and UX to track progress of designs in advance of the sprint
  • Present updates to key stakeholders, including the leadership team and the company board
  • Monitor the product, banking and payments landscape to stay in touch with the latest trends
  • Develop a wide-ranging set of networks with both internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Manage our relationships with the product partners ensuring appropriate return on investment
  • People manage and coach team on product development lifecycle and management skills
  • Create an environment that drives innovation and challenges the team to experiment
  • Assist employees in planning their career progression and growth in career within the company
  • Identify and suggest solutions to improve team performance
  • Act as an evangelist of the product at events or in the media.

Experience required:

  • 4+ years of experience managing a product team
  • Experience with being responsible for achieving key product goals e.g. revenue, conversion rates
  • Minimum of 6 years work experience as a product, business analyst or designer
  • Experience of working in an agile scrum environment
  • Banking, fintech, payments, eCommerce or technology start up experience is preferred
  • Proactive and willing to call out issues and suggest changes to management and process
  • Strong with analytics tools such as Amplitude and A/B testing tools including Optimizely
  • Strong understanding of web, iOS and Android platform patterns and interaction standards
  • The ability to seamlessly work across multiple projects at the same time
  • Strong ability to balance product, design, development, customer and business priorities
  • Excellent documentation and presentation skills to convince stakeholders.
