No bank feed setup or delayed transactions

Compared to platforms like Quickbooks, Thriday has the huge advantage of being able to access real-time data and transaction insights. Because Thriday issues a small business with a bank account* and Visa Debit card*, everything just flows into Thriday seamlessly. There are no bank feeds required. With Thriday, banking is part of the package. Due to this, data is passed in real time. With Quickbooks, you need to set up bank feeds which results in data being presented 1 day later. This can be very inconvenient as small businesses need to know what's happening now, not yesterday.

Automated allocations

When you generate income, you have the choice to set up automated allocations, ensuring that a designated percentage of your earnings is directed to a selected bank account. This automated system simplifies the implementation of Profit First distributions or permits the allocation of a portion of your earnings to your Super account.

Registered tax agent (no. 26262416)

To streamline your tax, BAS and accounting requirements even more, Thriday is a registered tax agent (registration number 26262416) with the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB). This means you can lodge your BAS and taxes directly from the Thriday platform and take advantage of expert support from registered tax agents.

Automated bookkeeping and categorisation

Thriday acts like a bookkeeper or accountant in your pocket, taking care of all that frustrating financial admin automatically using AI. You can still use your trusted bookkeeper or accountant if you want, but it's now your choice, it's not required. With Thriday, all your income and expenses are automatically assigned to a chart of accounts, and your GST position is calculated instantly without any human intervention.

Scan and upload bills for payment

Thriday's Bill Manager simplifies bill payment by enabling users to effortlessly scan and upload bills, streamlining the entire accounts payable process for efficiency.

Email receipt reconciliation

When you sign up to Thriday, a unique email address is created and assigned to you. From there, you are able to forward any receipts you receive to the mailbox. Even if you want to take a photo of a physical receipt you receive, you can also forward it to your Thriday inbox. Once a receipt is forwarded, Thriday automagically scans the receipt, pulls out the amount, GST, date and merchant details and reconciles it to a business transaction on your account. It's frankly the smoothest thing you will ever use. Quickbooks does provide an app to manually take photos and record expenses but it's quite clunky and there is no option to just email it through.

Track spend with a Visa Debit card

Thriday really elevates itself above a platform like Quickbooks, with the ability for small business owners to generate a Visa Debit card. With Thriday, once you are setup, you can simple order a Visa Debit card and add this into Apple or Google Pay. From there, all your transactions are automatically logged in real-time in the Thriday general ledger. Transactions are categorised, enriched and assigned to a Chart of Accounts for added convenience. With Quickbooks there is no option to obtain a Visa Debit card or any transaction banking capabilities.

Create free business bank accounts

Where Thriday really stands apart from the competition is its ability to combine banking, accounting and tax into one platform. From Thriday, you can setup a business bank account* in minutes. Any funds you have with Thriday will earn {{interestRate}} across all accounts. You can create up to 10 additional sub-accounts in seconds. Sub-accounts come in very handy if you like to segment your income and expenses, or track specific goals, for example an account for super. Quickbooks in Australia does not allow you to create bank accounts or provide any transaction capabilities.

Lodge BAS to the ATO with a review by a tax expert

Thriday has made it super easy to lodge your BAS to the ATO by automatically calculating your books for the corresponding period. Once your books are prepared, you can view all the details including any income, expenses and GST incurred over the reporting period. Once you are happy, you can then lodge your BAS to the ATO yourself, or you can get an expert tax agent to review it for you for an extra fee. With Quickbooks, you are able to lodge your BAS to the ATO, but you can only do it yourself. There is no option to automatically request a tax expert to review it for you.

Make payments via BPAY or to a bank account

What makes Thriday unique compared to other platforms is its combination of banking, accounting and tax. This means that you can pay bills directly from Thriday without having to download an ABA file, or manually send payments. Thriday also supports payments via BSB, account number and BPAY. Doing it this way reduces a lot of manual handling, double entry and ultimately saves you time. Quickbooks does not allow you to make payments in Australia.

Australian owned and operated

Thriday was built by Aussie small business owners for Aussie small business owners. Based in Melbourne, Australia, Thriday was founded by Michael and Ben who had both experienced their own frustrations with financial admin. By using Thriday, you can trust that all your bookkeeping, accounting and tax are tailor-made to comply with local requirements and regulations.
