Just signed up, However the level of customer service and care has already impressed me. Going through the settings and account creation etc is also extremely easy, the allocations for spreading income over different accounts for expenses like GST, Tax, expensed is also very easy and being able to allocate up the the full 100% is a good thing (my previous provider was only 40%) you can also earn interest in the bank accounts attached to your account, which is also a huge plus. Like I said, new user, but already extremely impressed with everything so far!

Can I temporarily lock my card?

Yes. You can freeze the card temporarily via the card settings. You can also use the Advanced Card Controls in the app to temporarily block all or certain types of transactions without permanently cancelling the card.

What if my physical card is delayed or lost in the mail?

You can continue using your digital card in your mobile wallet or online, even if you haven’t received the physical card yet.

How do I add my digital card to a mobile wallet?

Apple Pay: Tap ‘Add to Apple Wallet’ in the app and follow the prompts.

Google Pay / Samsung Pay: Add to wallet > Payment card > enter details manually

How many digital cards can I have?

One digital card is issued for every physical card. Multiple cardholders (e.g., for businesses) can each have their own paired digital and physical card.

Can I add a digital card later if I only ordered a plastic card?

No. Digital and physical cards are now always issued together. To get a digital card, you must request a new combined card order.

Can I cancel or delete my digital card?

Yes. Cancelling a card applies to both the physical and digital versions. A replacement card (digital + physical) will then be issued.

Do digital cards expire like physical cards? What happens then?

Yes. Digital cards follow the same expiry rules as physical cards. When a card is renewed, wallet tokens are updated automatically by our banking partner, so you can continue using your digital card even before the new physical card arrives.

Are full card details (number, expiry, CVV) visible for all cards?

You can decrypt and access full card details from within the app for all cards.

Will advanced card controls apply to existing cards?

Yes. All cards, including existing cards, have access to advanced controls.

How do I access Advanced Card Controls?

You can access controls in the app under the Card Settings or Manage Card section. Adjustments take effect immediately.

What are Advanced Card Controls?

Advanced Card Controls let you turn on/off transaction types (e.g., online purchases, ATM withdrawals, Paywave/tap payments), block international transactions while allowing domestic use and add extra security by controlling where and how your card can be used.

Can I set or change my PIN?

Yes. You can set or change your PIN at any time through the app for both virtual and physical cards.

Do I need to activate my physical card?

No. Both the digital and physical cards are active immediately upon issuance.

How soon can I use my digital card after ordering?

Minutes. As soon as the virtual card appears in the app, it can be added to a mobile wallet and used for online and physical purchases.

Where do I find my unique receipt mailbox address?

Simply go to the Accounts screen, select the Receipts tab, then select the 'Add Receipts' option. You can then see all three ways you can provide receipts: Upload, Email or Take Photo. Just select the email tab and your unique mailbox address will be there. To make your life even easier, you can set up auto-forwarding rules from your Gmail, Yahoo or email provider.

What if I already have direct debits set up in another account?

No problem, we can provide instructions on transferring your direct debits to your Thriday transaction account once you become a Thriday member.

Is Thriday a bank?

Thriday is not a bank. Thriday is an Authorised Representative (No.1297601) of Regional Australia Bank Ltd ABN 21 087 650 360 AFSL 241167 (Regional Australia Bank). The transaction account is issued by Regional Australia Bank and is backed by the Financial Claims Scheme².

Is there a limit to how much I can withdraw from an ATM using Thriday?

With a Thriday Visa Debit card, you'll be able to withdraw cash from your business account using ATMs or eftpos facilities around Australia. There's a daily limit for cash withdrawals of $1,000 per day.

² Is my money secure?

Yes, your transaction account is backed by the Financial Claims Scheme (FCS)², which protects depositors of up to $250,000 per account holder per authorised deposit-taking institution (ADI).

How many receipts can I upload?

You can upload up to 20 receipts at once.

How does Thriday protect my information?

Thriday is independently audited and ISO 27001 certified.

ISO 27001 is a security standard that certifies an organisation has robust security controls and processes designed to protect the company and customer's assets. It supports compliance with many laws, including the Australian Privacy Principles and EU GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

ISO 27001 is recognised globally as a benchmark for good information security practice. It enables organisations like Thriday to achieve ongoing independent certification by an accredited certification body as a commitment to constant improvement in security maturity.

How do I add funds to my Thriday transaction account?

If you'd like to transfer funds to your Thriday transaction account, go to the Accounts screen, find the correct transaction account and click the 'Add Funds' button near the top right-hand corner. After that, you will be shown your transaction account's BSB (932 000) and Account number, which you can use to perform a transfer to.

² Financial Claim Scheme (FCS)

The Financial Claim Scheme is an Australia Government Guarantee scheme that protects up to a total of $250,000 of an account holder’s deposit held under the one banking licence. Information on the FCS is available on the FCS website www.fcs.gov.au

Bank accounts and Visa Debit cards in Thriday are issued by Regional Australia Bank Ltd ABN 21 087 650 360 AFSL & Australian Credit Licence 241167. These accounts are covered by the Financial Claims Scheme.

Can you upload receipts completed with a non-Thriday card?

Yes, you can upload these receipts, and them manually add them as an external transaction. This means your books will be up to date. When you upload a receipt from a transaction made with a non-Thriday card, it will display as 'Expense not found'. You can then select the receipt action menu > Create Expense. This will then add this expense to your ledger.

Can I rename my accounts?

You rename your accounts in the Settings. Just go to the Accounts section and select the account you want to rename. You have a maximum of 20 characters to work with.

Can I order cheques for my Thriday account?

Thriday doesn't support physical cheques as a payment method with our business accounts. This is because cheques aren't a common payment method anymore. We hope that businesses begin to use electronic payments and e-invoicing as much as possible. Digital methods aren't only cheaper and quicker but also more environmentally friendly!  

Can I link an external bank account to my Thriday account?

To benefit from Thriday's time-saving features use your Thriday transaction account and Visa Debit card for all incoming and outgoing business expenses

Suppose you want to leave some of your existing workflows alone in a current bank account you have. In that case, you can very quickly schedule payment transfers from Thriday to that account.

Can I just use the Thriday transaction account?

You could, but the point of Thriday is to save you time by combining the tools you need to manage your financial admin in one place.

If you only plan on using Thriday to send and receive money, and you want to continue using a bookkeeper, accounting platform, invoicing software, receipt scanning software, and an accountant (all outside of the Thriday ecosystem), you're missing out on the automation and real value Thriday provides.

The transaction account is the beating heart of the Thriday system, enabling automation that other tools and platforms simply can't. As a result, Thriday could save you many hours each week when used to its full potential.

Yes, Thriday allows you to attach files to transactions to detail them according to your specific needs.
